Klein Tools

i accidentally cut a steel wire, and it has left a hole in the cutters of my Klein dikes, how do i get the warranty and receive a new pair? it was a bonding jumper on a 1 pair coax cable for a satellite feed. it put a hole in my diagonal pliers. insulated, i didn't know it was steel.

Klein tools are warranted to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for the normal life of the product. Cutting through steel, intentional or not, is not something the warranty covers. They DO however, sell a set of side-cutting pliers that CAN handle it though. The 2000 series tools cut ACSR, screws, nails, and most hardened wire. Lets see a set of Crapsman do that! Al

I have been told that they are, my interest is in the area of linemans pliers that have chipped on the cutting surface. If so, where and who do i see or contact?

You should be able to exchange them at the store in which they were bought. If you are not near the store, return them to a dealer in your area, and they will have them exchanged for you.

I just bought brand new Klein Electrical tools. I had other Klein tools but they got rusted. They were not stored in an damp area or left out in the rain and they still got rusted. Is there anything i can do to stop the brand new tools from rusting with common household items? Thank You What kind of silicone should i use?

There are silicone sprays and wd 40.........but I carried tools all my life.........and a good wood tool box is the best....and have rags and wd 40 in your rig..........clean them up if possible..........I used to use wax on my hand saws and chisels, not only does it protect them....but they slide thru their jobs easier...........all the best...........expose them to the air in a wood tool box......you might be suprised........damp bags and metal boxes do not cut it where I live....enjoy
